URGENT APPEAL: STAND WITH ASSAM 💧

Assam is drowning. People need us NOW. Assam is facing one of the worst floods this year.
As of July 23, 2026:
- Death toll: 47 people lost their lives, with 6 deaths reported in just the last 24 hours
- Over 7.21 lakh people affected across 11 districts including Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Kamrup, and Nagaon
- 883 villages inundated, 25,375+ hectares of farmland submerged
- 24,124 people are taking shelter in 103 relief camps ba7b
Sivasagar is the worst-hit with 3.75 lakh people affected. Rivers are flowing above danger level and IMD has issued Orange Alerts. Families have lost homes, food, and basic necessities. Lives are endangered. Livelihoods are destroyed. And the need is growing every day. We are taking action. Leo Club of Guwahati Greater Samrat and Lions Club of Guwahati Greater Samrat have come together to coordinate relief on the ground.
We are fundraising to buy and distribute:
- Sanitary pads
- Toiletries
- Food, Milk, Rice, Dal
- Soaps, Oil, and all essential necessities
We will coordinate with other Leo & Lions clubs to reach the worst affected areas and ensure help reaches every family. We need YOU. We need the WORLD. To save lives and preserve dignity, we are looking for international collaboration and support to strengthen relief and rehabilitation efforts in Assam. This is not just a flood. This is a humanitarian crisis. Your support can provide food to a hungry child, hygiene to a mother, and hope to a family that has lost everything.
