What do Leos do?

Operating under Lions Clubs International, Leo clubs are a youth program dedicated to young people between 12 and 30 years old that want to dedicate themselves to charity work. Leo Clubs devote themselves to serving the local and international community through a variety of projects: fund raising activities, awareness campaigns and other hands-on activities are ways trough Leo Clubs reach their goals to help people in need.

Moreover, another objective of the Leo Clubs is “to provide the youth of the world with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national, and international community.”

The acronym Leo stands for:

Leadership: Leos develop skills as organizers, time managers, and motivators of their peers, effectively building their leadership.

Experience: Leos learn the importance of cooperation and get the chance to form unforgettable and unique life experiences through the performance of community service.

Opportunity: Membership in a Leo club provides young people with a chance to excel, to develop character traits, and to receive recognition for their contributions to the community.
